US Government sanctioned occupation of US Cities...media monopolies...just wow...

 

So the president (Frump) has decided to send troops to a United States city which aparently by his words is "War Ravaged" and needs rescuing.

 This is crazy..it is fascist in its action, and it is so UN-American that  both sides of the political isle should be ashamed. Our leadership is and has failed us. The checks and balances are failing us atm. 

If we step back we can see a lot of warning signs. Starting with Corporate monopolies happening regarding the media. We as a nation have seen a consolidation of Media outlets (the news, TV stations etc) from 50 providers, down to 5 and getting smaller. What happened to Jimmy Kimble was because an FCC chair threatened indirectly to NOT approve a merger unless Jimmy was taken off the air. ya... its that bad. 

If all media is controlled by only a few people then all information that gets out to the public is also controlled. Think about that. Why would one want that? ya you got it. to control the narrative, ideology, thinking, which leads to control of the peoples minds and will. 

Additionally, we have seen the Supreme Court Loaded with hard right leaning judges. AND the bench is now controlled for DECKADES... 

And...we have seen doctrine released like "Project 2025". 

And now we are seeing peaceful cities occupied by physical forces.  

We all know pres Frump is using the National Guard as pawns. plain and simple. He is literally putting U.S. National Guard home guard LIVES at stake, and regular citizen LIVES at stake in hopes of an escalation. He really wants an escalation, he literally wants someone to get hurt or even dead.

This is where we find ourselves as U.S. Citizens.

I think that protesting is probably a good thing yet I DO recommend that protests be away from the N.G. Military though. IMO we should not buy into confrontation but rather be a voice of unity that what is happening in this country is bad. If you go on /r/portland. Many get it. showing pictures of "War Torn" Portland. Quiet streets, people jogging, eating picnick lunches in the park, sailing boats on the river, spending time at the zoo and the Japanese Garden... Its a real war torn city....

The people of Portland and the world should NOT play Frumps  'game of fools', keep our families safe and continue to show that Rose City is a city of love and peace and other cities are next, and continue to show the nation what our leadership is doing. They are literally actively attempting to provoke confrontation between citizens in order to drive a pretty un-American agenda of fascism.

That song we used to sing at baseball games you know "the land of the free..." ya that doesn't seem to apply anymore under the current government.

In Search of the Island for Misfit Toys

  My ex (when we were married) and I used to love the old seasonal tv special " Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys "    yet we'd acknowledge that there were some hidden messages this show was trying to teach audiences, the obvious being First Rudolph is born different Second there is an elf that, doesn't want to be a toy maker, but ( quoting my fingers here in the air ) wants to be a "Dentist". And then there is this place called "the Island of Misfit Toys"   All of these crafted analogies clearly was the networks way of addressing being "different" and their message to the viewers; " It is OK to be different, in fact its a super power and we should not fear it"   So how does this relate to my journey and maybe yours.   Before my ex asked for a divorce we would watch and laugh because it just showed some of the history of how uncomfortable and uptight America is with sexual orientation, not to be confus...

Hello Is Anyone Out There? - First Post

My first blog post. I like to think this post is a little like attempting a first contact. First contact I would imagine would start with a question "Is anyone out there, anyone listening?" And ya.... I do believe we are not alone.
