Zohran Mamdani and the New Hope

 

Today I woke up 3 am. wide awake. thinking of things I have no control over, my mind has done that a lot lately. 

And my life coach tells me that I need to be able to look at these thoughts, recognize them for what they are and let them go to float away down the river. Its a beautiful metaphor and works.  

This morning watching the news which I do a little but not too much because its gotten crazy out there. I learned that Zohran Mamdani won NYC mayoral election, over the incumbent and other candidates who were backed by billionaires and by our current Regime (Trump and his minions). 

Zohran's acceptance speech was beautiful.  He talked about the people. Not the billionaires, the 1%'ers, but the working people. He talked about NYC being a place of hope, acceptance, welcoming of Immigration and brighter futures for all of us. 

And I love that New Your City will continue to be a Shining beacon of Hope and Acceptance for all people!  

Zohran at one point looked right at the camera and said this to directly to Donald (Piece of @#%#% ) Trump, he said:  "To get to any of us....You will have to get through all of us" . 

So powerful!!!! and true. it is "WE THE PEOPLE" not "We the ultra 1% rich, corrupt and owned by Putin"

And stepping back.. it is a good morning to see the Democrats have swept the mid elections.

If you follow the Star Wars saga (and who doesn't), the first movie was titled "A New Hope" and I feel that today we have a new hope. The good people of this country have been fooled by Marketing, half truths, and a man who is very good at smoke and mirrors who is even better at saying what an audience wants to hear. These good people are now realizing there is no help coming.. .that Trump and his minions are masters of lies and half truths and are literally looting this country for the benefit of the Ultra rich.  

I think the issue in our country right now is one of people, good people only getting 1/2 the information or information from 1 source and going with it. I have found people are generally of good character and nature, hard working and trusting to a fault. These attributes are invaluable but can also be manipulated by people who are only interested in power, and more wealth for themselves and their friends; foreign (Putin) and domestic; their family and their friends only (private club). 

It is time we listen to our hearts, our compasses, look at how we want to treat each other and fix this country for the betterment of all people, by the people, for the people. 

A New Hope is happening.

In Search of the Island for Misfit Toys

  My ex (when we were married) and I used to love the old seasonal tv special " Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys "    yet we'd acknowledge that there were some hidden messages this show was trying to teach audiences, the obvious being First Rudolph is born different Second there is an elf that, doesn't want to be a toy maker, but ( quoting my fingers here in the air ) wants to be a "Dentist". And then there is this place called "the Island of Misfit Toys"   All of these crafted analogies clearly was the networks way of addressing being "different" and their message to the viewers; " It is OK to be different, in fact its a super power and we should not fear it"   So how does this relate to my journey and maybe yours.   Before my ex asked for a divorce we would watch and laugh because it just showed some of the history of how uncomfortable and uptight America is with sexual orientation, not to be confus...

Hello Is Anyone Out There? - First Post

My first blog post. I like to think this post is a little like attempting a first contact. First contact I would imagine would start with a question "Is anyone out there, anyone listening?" And ya.... I do believe we are not alone.
