The Problem with the Libs... assumptions and opinions based on no communication and no real thought.

 

So I have been interacting with a Right wing supporter (because I have to) and they apparently travel in very Right wing social groups where they discuss amongst themselves...what is wrong with the rest of us.

Let that sink in.....

They live in a red state...and they have made it clear what side they lean on saying things like "I don't really like the guy but I think he is good for the country" and... "Hey did you see whats happening in minnesota?, what a bunch of crazy" all of which makes me MEGA uncomfortable, IS Micro aggression, and IS against the Companies Business Conduct Guidelines for which this guy agrees to every year...

and... listening to him share (to much) without agreeing with him or wanting the conversation to continue....I learn that in one conversation he had with a right wing woman, the woman says in some social media channel, the following to him:

"The Problem with the liberal women, is that they have lost the family system. Liberal women don't have good family values"

So....I'm listening to this guy contemplate and then says out loud as if I agree with him. 'you know what..that must be the problem, I think she's right'

...sigh.....

Let that sink in....

 Now I didn't say anything back because he is saying this stuff to me on the phone AT WORK. HR has said two things. First if someone says something against the Business Conduct Guidelines Do not agree with them or support them. Second... I have to work with this guy.. and to be real I KNOW that you keep politics and Religion out of the work environment. PERIOD. 

And in a sense... this is great intel.. I'm getting first hand how some of the people in our country think.

They are so busy guessing at what the other side is thinking...that they themselves are Hallucinating and making up what the other side is thinking and why they are thinking it.

 This is how W#@%@#%  @#%%# up all this is.

 So to sum it up. this woman and probably a lot of the religious Right think....the people on the left aren't upset because people are getting MURDERED. They are upset because they are irrational women who don't have a husband and 5 kids telling them what to do and what to make for dinner. ....here's to....Good ole family values!!!

And so...there it is...A full on Disconnect from reality or communication or understanding..and worse..empathy.

They are literally thinking... "Because they aren't like me...., married, with a domineering man to tell me what to do and keep me pregnant, that they are crazy and irrational because they lack family identity and purpose"

Insanity..... 'Please sir...take my rights away.. please sir.'

All of this... re-enforces why I hate religion.... it does nothing but bad. Brain washes everyone it touches and makes stupid people even stupider.

In Search of the Island for Misfit Toys

  My ex (when we were married) and I used to love the old seasonal tv special " Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys "    yet we'd acknowledge that there were some hidden messages this show was trying to teach audiences, the obvious being First Rudolph is born different Second there is an elf that, doesn't want to be a toy maker, but ( quoting my fingers here in the air ) wants to be a "Dentist". And then there is this place called "the Island of Misfit Toys"   All of these crafted analogies clearly was the networks way of addressing being "different" and their message to the viewers; " It is OK to be different, in fact its a super power and we should not fear it"   So how does this relate to my journey and maybe yours.   Before my ex asked for a divorce we would watch and laugh because it just showed some of the history of how uncomfortable and uptight America is with sexual orientation, not to be confus...

Hello Is Anyone Out There? - First Post

My first blog post. I like to think this post is a little like attempting a first contact. First contact I would imagine would start with a question "Is anyone out there, anyone listening?" And ya.... I do believe we are not alone. So... going with that loose analogy I've decided to put thoughts and observations, my ideas out into the universe from the standpoint of my life as a human, and more specifically as a transgender woman. And since this is my first post let me share a little about myself, an introduction if you will.
